Chapter 2

Aria Thomson, a 26-year-old omega, who possessed a beauty that could rival Aphrodite. She was a beautiful young lady, blessed by Selene herself.

At the age of 3, the young omega became an orphan when a fire in their workplace took the lives of her parents.

There were many speculations about tragedy but because she was so young then, she never got the chance to know the truth.

The orphanage raised her and at 16, a scout discovered her during one of the events at the orphanage.Working as a singer at a fancy restaurant in the city not too far from the orphanage gave her an opportunity for a better life. Many of the customers loved her solo performances, and they earned her huge amounts of tips every night. It is there she met her sweet and kind Lucas Monroe.

Someone who became an older brother to her.Aria was just a simple girl who just wanted to sing. So when Lucas, the owner of the restaurant offered her a scholarship for her to pursue music, she didn't hesitate to accept it.

She enrolled at Chicago University, at the College of Music & Performing Arts. And since she was really pretty, Lucas taught her to take suppressants and how to protect herself from other horny wolves who couldn't suppress their animal instincts.Aria studied during the day and worked at the restaurant at night. Her once sad and uneventful life started to get better.

Once she was at a legal age, she finally bid her farewell to the orphanage that took her in when she was still so little.

Lucas gave her a small but cozy place to stay while she still couldn’t afford to pay for an apartment.Everything in her life was going smoothly she met her best friends Rina Perez and Alex Perez at the university. Rina was a dance major while Alex was an acting major. The three of them promised each other not to betray one another.

They were really looking out for each other ever since they met each other.

But among the 3 of them, Aria was always the one who often got scolded.

As the only omega in the group, she tended to make the other two worry whenever she forgot to take her suppressants. So imagine their surprise when after Aria’s volunteer work at the orphanage in their last semester of college she went home with a mating mark on her neck telling them that an alpha had already marked their friend.

Between the three of them, Aria was the only one who remained a virgin because she really never wanted to accept any heat partners.

Rina and Alex are both alphas so sex has never been a big issue to them.

That night, the 3 friends weren't able to sleep in Aria’s room because Rina didn't let the omega sleep without telling them who marked her and how it happened. That same night, Aria confessed to her two best friends about meeting her soulmate. She told them how their wolves woke up upon seeing each other.

She also told them how beautiful her mate was and how much she wanted to be with him again. Aria could vividly remember how Alex and Rina had reacted that night when she finally told them who his mate was.

“Oh, my Luna! Are you kidding me? Ria, Cyrus Carter is a fucking god living in the world of humans! How did you end up mating with him? I mean, are you sure that you two are soulmates? Maybe he was just horny and---" Rina didn't get to finish her sentence once she senses Aria’s distressed scent.

“First, I agree that he really is above human Rin and yes I have never been so sure in my life that we are soulmates.

Not only that my wolf finally awaken when I first laid my eyes on him Rin but I also felt like all the missing pieces in my life had finally been filled by him." Aria uttered, totally pushing all the negativity away.“I'm glad you have found your soulmate already Aria baby. But we are talking about Cyrus Carter here. He is like a very prominent person and you're just---you." Alex voiced out her worries this time.

Aria smiled at her friends. "Don't worry Alex, he promised that he would take care of me and I trust him."If only she knew what fate had prepared for her, she would've never uttered those words before.

She would never have gotten her hopes high because mating and marrying Cyrus Carter was the biggest mistake of her life.

Healing My Seven Broken Beast Mates Novel Cover
9.4
My retirement was finally approved, and I was supposed to be sipping drinks on a sunny beach. Instead, a cold system voice forced me into a nightmare scenario: "Cursed Mates Who Want Me Dead." I woke up in a stinking cave, trapped in the body of a psychopathic tribal princess. The memories that flooded my brain made me sick. The original owner of this body had forcibly marked seven of the continent's most powerful beast-men and reduced them to tortured pets. She had ripped the shimmering scales off Jordi the Merfolk prince, gouged out a proud wolf-man's power crystal, and snapped an eagle-man's magnificent wings. Now, Jordi was a mutilated, terrified mess hiding in a corner. He was so traumatized that he tried to slit his own throat just to escape me. His sister was actively trying to assassinate me. To make matters worse, the system warned me that if I didn't heal these seven ticking time bombs, my soul would be erased. Yet the future timeline clearly showed that these men would eventually unite, burn my tribe to the ground, and dismember me alive. I was paying for a monster's sins. Every time I tried to show mercy, they thought it was a sick new torture method. Words were useless, and my very presence was a trigger. But I am a Tier-S operative, and I don't play the victim. I forced the system to unlock my powers and strapped on my tactical gear. "Stay here and don't starve." I left the trembling Merfolk behind and walked into the deadly primitive forest, heading straight for the powerful Oasis Tribe to take back his stolen scales by force.

Ninety-Nine Times, Then No More Novel Cover
7.3
This was the ninety-ninth time I caught my husband, Chase Vargas, with another woman in our five-year marriage. I stood in the hotel doorway, numb, tired of the cheap perfume and his cold, familiar eyes. But this time, his mistress, a blonde woman, hissed, "He told me all about you. The pathetic wife he's stuck with because of some business deal. He said he can't stand the sight of you." Her words, meant to hurt, were things I already knew, things Chase had made sure I understood. Still, hearing them from a stranger felt like a new humiliation. She lunged, scratching my face, drawing blood. The sting was a surprising jolt in my numb world. I wrote her a check, a routine part of this pathetic scene. Then my phone rang. It was Chase, calling from across the room. "What are you doing? Are you making a scene? Clean it up and get out. You're embarrassing." He thought I had orchestrated this, that I was the embarrassing one. The betrayal was casual, complete. "I'm tired, Chase," I said, the words finally coming from a place I thought had died. "I want a divorce." He laughed, a cruel sound. "A divorce? Elena, don't be ridiculous. You love me too much to ever leave me." I hung up. He then handed me a signed divorce agreement, telling me his true love, June, my adopted sister, was back. He wanted me to play the dutiful wife for her welcome-home concert. My heart, which I thought had turned to stone, felt a final, crushing blow. He wasn't divorcing me because I wanted it. He was divorcing me for her. I signed the papers. The ninety-ninth time was the last time he would do this to me.
