Chapter 37

Aria and Cyrus were staring at each other.

The alpha wasn't sure what was going on in Aria's head. He felt sorry for his mate because she didn't seem to know who Kiana was.

When they got separated, Aria and their pup experienced unbearable pain.

He could still vividly remember how he struggled to live in pain through the years.

Thankfully he's a pure-blooded alpha so he at least is strong enough to endure that pain. now he understood

It was clear that Kiana's wolf missed her omega mother, making it difficult for him to get her to sleep.

 Aria stood frozen.

She fixed her gaze on Cyrus as she was too frightened to meet Kiana's eyes.

She is afraid to see her little girl, fearing she will see the one she mourned for 3 years and thought she'd never see again."Please... Cyrus," Aria pleaded, trying to hold back her tears as she noticed people beginning to stare at them.

The pure-blood alpha steps closer to his omega as he is about to touch her, Kiana interferes.

"Daddy, you're scaring pwetty pwincess!"

The little girl pushed her father to the side before she took Aria’s larger hands to her own before she looked up with her very concerned face.

"Pwetty Pwincess, are you okay? Don't wowwy, Kiki is here now." Kiana says imitating the way her alpha father used to calm her down whenever she wakes up in the middle of the night.

Aria's heart melted as she gazed at the little girl, her lips wobbling as if filling up with love.

She kneels in front of Kiana, releasing her hand to cup her face and meet her gaze.

Aria never thought that this day would come in the last three years.

She never thought it would still be possible for her to see and touch her angel. For years, she had felt that something was missing in her life. She had always thought that the feeling was due to her mate, Cyrus, not being around. However, now that she held her little girl in her arms, she knew that her heart was missing her pup all along. Her little girl was the missing piece that left a hole in her heart

.

"Kiana," Aria uttered as she started to caress the little pup’s face with the back of her thumb.

She carefully traces her eyebrows, the bridge of her nose, and her chubby cheeks like she couldn't believe the girl in front of her was real.

"Daddy, what's wrong with Pwetty Pwincess? Why is she crying?" the little girl looked up at her alpha father because she was starting to get worried for Aria who was just holding her until the Omega pulled her into a tight hug."Oh Luna... Kiana... my baby..." Aria begins to cry as she finally comprehends the gravity of the situation.

Despite the signs, her mind continued to deny any hope.

She keeps denying everything that might lead him to a conclusion that could break her heart in the end. But the moment she embraces the little girl, her heart knows immediately that Kiana is her daughter. The little girl in his arms at the moment is none other than the girl he thought was gone three years ago.

Cyrus couldn't help but feel a surge of emotions as he witnessed Aria crumbling in front of their little girl.

The way the omega cried reveals everything he needed to know about what truly happened three years ago.

Aria did not leave them. He doesn't care if he's being delusional thinking that Aria still wants them even when he already saw her with Knight.

He knows Aria can’t fake the emotions she just showed. the moment she realized that Kiana was indeed her pup.

He's certain that his omega didn't leave them for another man.

Aria was compelled to leave, and now Cyrus's wolf is anxious to uncover the truth behind what happened to his family.

He hopes that it's not the people around them, as he fears he won't be able to control himself if he discovers the truth.

Healing My Seven Broken Beast Mates Novel Cover
9.4
My retirement was finally approved, and I was supposed to be sipping drinks on a sunny beach. Instead, a cold system voice forced me into a nightmare scenario: "Cursed Mates Who Want Me Dead." I woke up in a stinking cave, trapped in the body of a psychopathic tribal princess. The memories that flooded my brain made me sick. The original owner of this body had forcibly marked seven of the continent's most powerful beast-men and reduced them to tortured pets. She had ripped the shimmering scales off Jordi the Merfolk prince, gouged out a proud wolf-man's power crystal, and snapped an eagle-man's magnificent wings. Now, Jordi was a mutilated, terrified mess hiding in a corner. He was so traumatized that he tried to slit his own throat just to escape me. His sister was actively trying to assassinate me. To make matters worse, the system warned me that if I didn't heal these seven ticking time bombs, my soul would be erased. Yet the future timeline clearly showed that these men would eventually unite, burn my tribe to the ground, and dismember me alive. I was paying for a monster's sins. Every time I tried to show mercy, they thought it was a sick new torture method. Words were useless, and my very presence was a trigger. But I am a Tier-S operative, and I don't play the victim. I forced the system to unlock my powers and strapped on my tactical gear. "Stay here and don't starve." I left the trembling Merfolk behind and walked into the deadly primitive forest, heading straight for the powerful Oasis Tribe to take back his stolen scales by force.

Ninety-Nine Times, Then No More Novel Cover
7.3
This was the ninety-ninth time I caught my husband, Chase Vargas, with another woman in our five-year marriage. I stood in the hotel doorway, numb, tired of the cheap perfume and his cold, familiar eyes. But this time, his mistress, a blonde woman, hissed, "He told me all about you. The pathetic wife he's stuck with because of some business deal. He said he can't stand the sight of you." Her words, meant to hurt, were things I already knew, things Chase had made sure I understood. Still, hearing them from a stranger felt like a new humiliation. She lunged, scratching my face, drawing blood. The sting was a surprising jolt in my numb world. I wrote her a check, a routine part of this pathetic scene. Then my phone rang. It was Chase, calling from across the room. "What are you doing? Are you making a scene? Clean it up and get out. You're embarrassing." He thought I had orchestrated this, that I was the embarrassing one. The betrayal was casual, complete. "I'm tired, Chase," I said, the words finally coming from a place I thought had died. "I want a divorce." He laughed, a cruel sound. "A divorce? Elena, don't be ridiculous. You love me too much to ever leave me." I hung up. He then handed me a signed divorce agreement, telling me his true love, June, my adopted sister, was back. He wanted me to play the dutiful wife for her welcome-home concert. My heart, which I thought had turned to stone, felt a final, crushing blow. He wasn't divorcing me because I wanted it. He was divorcing me for her. I signed the papers. The ninety-ninth time was the last time he would do this to me.
