Chapter 2

After Shaina entered the room she and Daisy were occupying, she exhaustedly lay down next to her sleeping friend. She couldn't believe she was able to have sex with a stranger. What's worse is that she didn't even see his face. All she knows is that the man's body is beautiful, big, and smells good. He's also a good kisser.

Shaina touched her lips and couldn't hold a smile forming there. But it immediately disappeared when she remembered Rex, her cheating boyfriend. Her lips pressed hard when she remembered what he had done, so she did something she shouldn't have done. She closed her eyes as the heartbreak and anger returned. But when she remembered the secrets revealed and the confrontation they had, she laughed hollowly.

Instead of showing a little guilt and feeling sorry, Rex was firm. "She's the one who makes up for your shortcomings in me, babe," he admitted straightforwardly.

He betrayed her in front of her eyes, and he still has the audacity to call her babe? How pathetic he is! But as a girlfriend, Shaina couldn't accept that and couldn't believe it. Her lips parted as she stared at the man she loved, or, she should say, her cheating boyfriend. She wanted to slap and scratch him to at least lessen the pain of his betrayal, but at that moment she seemed to be enveloped in ice that was smoking from the cold. Her hands seemed to be paralyzed. And her heart is now shattered in pieces. But what's the ridiculous thing behind why he cheated on her that made her want to take revenge? Because she couldn't give him her virginity, he looked for another woman to whom he could release his body heat. And of all the women on earth, why did he choose her cousin Lovely when he knew that she was her rival in everything? And Rex also knows the reason behind her desire for them to get married before she gives her virginity to him. And this happened!

"Since when have you been fooling me?" Shaina asked calmly, but her eyes were burning with anger at Rex.

Rex abruptly looked away from Shaina's fiery eyes. His heart is now divided. He suddenly felt sorry, but he couldn't get rid of Lovely. Above all, he didn't think that his girlfriend would soon discover his secret relationship with her cousin.

Lovely intervened with the two. "Come on, Rex, tell her the truth so she can get out of here because I'm done with her drama."

Shaina turned her glaring eyes to her cousin. She wanted to mop her face on the floor. But when she attempted to rush at her, Rex blocked her. This time, she wanted to cry not because of a man but because of her anger with Lovely. Her cousin will do everything to take what's hers and ruin her. She would even seduce all the men involved with her. And she thought that Rex was different from those men, but she was mistaken in her belief. When she remembered Rex's desire to hold a bigger company, a bitter smile gradually appeared on her lips.

"You were doing all this because Lovely's family has a bigger share in the company, right?"

Lovely was very insulted by what Shaina said, and she could not accept it. Out of anger, she quickly attacked her while clutching the bath towel that was covering her body to her chest, but Shaina eluded her hand. "How dare you! Rex loves me, and he found in me the thing you couldn't give him!" she insisted.

Shaina laughed insultingly and shot Lovely a pitiful look. "Let's stop fooling around here. Money is all you've got, Lovely. And if it's not because of that, Rex will never sleep with you."

"That's enough, Shaina!"

Shaina shook Rex's hand away when he grabbed her arm. "Isn't it true? You want to be the CEO of a big company. And of course you thought that that girl would be the answer to your ambition when you married her. You're climbing your way to the top using Lovely."

Rex was stunned; half of what Shaina said was true. But he did not like the sharpness of her tongue and was insulted. She makes him see how small he is in her eyes. "You know I'm not like that, Shaina!" he angrily defended.

"I told you, honey. That's why that girl can't give you what you need as a man because she's underestimating you. She didn't deserve you from the very beginning."

After witnessing the pain in Rex's face, Shaina calmed herself down. She wanted to take back her words, but he turned his back on her, which dismayed her.

"It's a good thing it happened to us like this; I found out that you're just underestimating my masculinity."

Shaina felt the coldness in Rex's voice. But he clearly shows that it was her fault for the outcome of their relationship. He sounded like she has to take all the blame. Damn him! Instead of apologizing, he did the opposite. When her cousin smiled, the anger in her heart suddenly returned.

"I'm sorry if I was fragile and tempted, but I really loved you, and I didn't want to hurt you, so I kept it a secret."

"How long have you been hiding this from me, Rex?"

"F-five months," Rex announced.

"Okay. Congratulations, then. You didn't just hurt me; you also made me hate you! You two! And I will never forgive you." Shaina's tears fell spontaneously because she was so hurt by this revelation. Five months. Wow! It turns out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her for a long time. And it seems that he still plans to hide it until the two of them get married. But her cousin was cunning; she meant for her to discover Rex's betrayal without his knowledge. The woman spun them both around just so she could snatch Rex away from her.

Heartbroken and emotional, Shaina left Rex's pad. She lost her dignity in front of her desperate cousin. And she realizes that no loyal man really exists. Rex was just like her father, who cannot be satisfied with one woman either. The reason for the misfortune in their lives was her womanizing father.

"It's a good thing you became a woman; you didn't inherit your father's womanizing habit."

Shaina laughed, remembering what her friend had told her before. She is indeed a woman, but because of her father's background, she is still often linked to his womanizing habit. People judge her, thinking that she also likes to play with men's emotions as well. Has she ever had a boyfriend, and nothing lasted? Everyone thought that she broke up with them because she liked someone else without even knowing the whole truth. Then Rex happened. She has only been in a relationship with him for a long time, so she is very hurt now.

A bitter smile appeared on Shaina's lips after remembering what happened earlier. Fortunately, Daisy-her gay friend-sympathized with her and accompanied her to drink. He is the only person who understands her when she has a problem. Later on, she hugged her friend and fell asleep.

Daisy woke up because of her friend's hug. He stroked her hair sleepily. Even though there were many customers in his salon, he left it to his trusted staff after he heard his friend's hoarse voice when she called earlier, and she seemed to be crying. He already knew; when she invites him to drink, she is sure to be miserable and need his presence.

He was amazed when he arrived at a famous hotel. On the second floor there is a social gathering. He didn't know why his friend chose to go there. The people who come to this place are almost VIPs, which means that the cost of even one wine reaches thousands of pesos. And his friend seems to not care about spending that much money right now. He shook his head as he remembered how he had found her earlier.

"Beshy..."

"Holy crap, it is what I'm telling you!" Daisy whispered when he heard his friend's voice behind him. He immediately approached her, and his eyes widened when he saw the empty bottles of wine lined up in front of her. Goodness, is she really this miserable now?

"Finally, you're here!" Shaina stared at Daisy with narrowed eyes and smiled.

"Girl, what's the matter with you? Why are you wasting that much money just for alcohol?" He quickly grabbed the glass that Shaina was holding. "Stop it; that's enough."

Shaina stared at her friend for a moment. And she asked herself, why was she here in this expensive place? Later, she cried while her right hand held the left side of her chest.

Daisy immediately attended to her friend and hugged her. He let her express her feelings. And after he heard the whole story, he even got emotional with a mixture of anger and pity for his friend.

"It's only right that you use up the contents of your joint account so that he has nothing to use with that girl." Instead of teaching Shaina correctly, he continued what her friend had started.

Daisy knew Shaina felt better somehow. She grinned. The girl raised the glass and toasted him. That's right, they're going to squander the money that she and Rex have saved up. Their original plan was to use the money for the wedding. The account is also under Rex's name, but Shaina is the cardholder and have authorization to use it. His friend cannot agree that Lovely will benefit from the money Rex has saved. So Shaina thought of wasting it before the man could even realize and close the bank account. .

"Is it really necessary to give up a girl's virginity to a boyfriend first so that she is not exchanged for someone else?" she asked.

Daisy sighed as she watched Shaina. He sympathized with his friend but did not want to see her in this condition.

"Is it my fault that he was attracted to my flirty cousin?"

Daisy wanted to emphasize that betrayal in a relationship is a choice, but he chose not to express it. He just let her go. And since she's already drunk, Daisy knows that she won't listen to what he has to say.

"But why does it have to be my cousin?" she continued, expressing her feelings. "No. I can't lose him, besh."

"Girl, that's enough. Look around us; other people are looking at us here," Daisy scolded his friend when her crying got louder. He could feel her pain, but if she continues to think about what Rex and Lovely did, she won't be able to move on quickly.

"Help me, besh. I need to get Rex back from Lovely."

Annoyed, Daisy grabbed her friend's glass and drained it herself. "Don't be stupid, besh. Have some respect for yourself. Besides, there are many men out there who are lining up for your beauty. Let your stupid ex-boyfriend go with your flirty cousin because they are better for each other-one flirtatious and one ambitious."

Shaina hiccupped and shook her head. "No. I don't like men anymore. They are all cheaters, and all they want is sex; they are just like my father!"

He held Shaina's hand tightly, and he calmly agreed. "You're right, besh; that's why Rex doesn't deserve a drop of your tears."

He understood his friend. Resentful of her father's repeated misogyny, Shaina lost her mother early; this mother died of heart failure.

"I'll make him see that I can give my virginity to a man! He's just unlucky because he won't get it."

Daisy blew out the drink in his mouth because of what Shaina said. Just now, she was very miserable, but suddenly, she became desperate. He was suddenly worried that she might be serious with whatever insane thought she had in mind. And in fear of losing herself, he consumed the rest of their wine.

Daisy shook his head after remembering what happened earlier. It's a good thing, and Shaina doesn't make her intention to find a one-night stand real. He just hugged her and went back to sleep.
