CHAPTER 29 - BOND OF THE SILVERBLOOD

"Love is the strongest bond of all, stronger than prophecy or power."

ShadowFang Fortress was alive with movement. The wounded had been tended to, the fallen honored, and the surviving pack members were already working to rebuild the shattered walls. Amid the organized chaos, Kael and Lyra stood together at the center of the fortress courtyard, their hands intertwined, their eyes locked in quiet understanding.

"You've done more than anyone could have imagined," Kael said softly, crimson eyes reflecting pride and tenderness.

"You've not only saved the pack... you've changed it forever."

Lyra's silver glow pulsed lightly as she leaned into him, her wolf humming in contentment.

We are complete. We are bonded.

"I couldn't have done it without you," she whispered.

"Every step, every battle... you were there."

Kael's lips curved into a rare, warm smile. He tilted her chin up gently, gazing into her silver eyes.

"And I always will be," he said.

"Not just as Alpha, not just as your mate... but as your partner. Your equal."

Lyra's wolf purred softly.

We are one. We are unstoppable.

A hush fell over the courtyard as the pack gathered, sensing the moment between their leaders. Milo stepped forward, bowing slightly.

"The pack owes you both everything," he said.

"Your bond... it has inspired us all. Together, we will follow you."

Kael squeezed Lyra's hand, his expression firm yet gentle.

"This is more than leadership. This is family. This is our pack. And it will always be protected-by all of us, together."

Lyra felt her heart swell. The bond between them, strengthened through prophecy, battle, and shared courage, now radiated fully. She stepped closer, brushing her forehead against Kael's.

"I... I love you, Kael," she whispered.

"In every way, in every heartbeat. Always."

Kael's crimson eyes softened, full of emotion. He leaned in and pressed his lips gently to hers, the world around them fading for a moment. Their wolves howled in harmony, echoing the rhythm of their hearts.

"Always," he repeated, sealing the promise.

The pack erupted in quiet cheers, respecting the private moment but celebrating the strength and unity it represented. Lyra and Kael pulled back slightly, foreheads still touching, breathing in sync.

Her silver glow pulsed once more, brighter and warmer than before. The prophecy had been fulfilled-but it was not the power that mattered most. It was the bond they shared, unbreakable and eternal.

Kael rested his hand on the small of her back, drawing her close again.

"Tomorrow," he murmured, "we rebuild. We strengthen. And we make sure ShadowFang never faces such a threat again."

Lyra smiled, feeling her wolf stir in delight.

Together, we rise. Together, we lead. Together... we love.
