Chapter 6

"You're not getting it, bro. He's not watching because of interest, he's watching because of duty" Axel said.

"But...

Before Hyce could land, Roonie pushed him off the bed with his feet, and Hyce landed on the ground.

"Suck my dîck, bastard!" Hyce thundered as he stood, leaving the room.

"What are you gonna do to her?" Axel asked.

Roonie closed his eyes, his long lashes hugging.

"Don't be scared, I won't kill her" he muttered.

"Scared? You're deranged" Axel scoffed as he left the room.

VOID CLUBHOUSE*

"What the hell is taking her so long!" Rebekah complained for the thousandth time, moving from one feet to another.

She's been waiting for minutes in front of the club with the girls.

"Bîtch isn't picking my calls" Morgan added, almost smashing her phone.

"She has never been like this before though" Lizzy said worriedly.

"She could have at least called instead of making us worry" Morgan said.

"Are you girls going in yet? I'm closing for the night" the huge bouncer at the small gate said.

"You know we can't go in without pearl, can you wait three more minutes?" Rebekah quickly said.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. It's 8pm already" he replied.

"Darn" Morgan muttered.

"Girls!" Pearl appeared behind them.

"Thank gawd!" Rebekah smiled, but the smile vanished when she saw her wounded face.

"Babe what's up with your face!"

"pearl, is everything ok?" Morgan asked.

"Pearl..." Lizzy narrowed her eyes at her.

"We'll talk inside" Pearl brought out her phone

At the same time, they pushed their phone screens forward, showing their online tickets

"Go on girls" the bouncer smiled, opening the gate.

"We're regulars here, you should start allowing us in without tickets" Morgan said.

"Soon" he replied, stucking hands with Pearl.

The four entered the main clubhouse, and immediately they raised the curtain and stepped in, they screamed out before rushing to the serving table.

This place is an exclusive illegal clubhouse where drugs like cocaine and cannabis are exchanged for money.

Pearl got a glass of tequila for herself and gulped it, then she grabbed the slice of lime on top of it and placed it on her tongue, shutting her eyes and allowing the taste to hit as she sucked the sourness.

"Hmm...mmm" she moaned, grabbing another cup.

Rebekah quickly took it from her.

"You can't get drunk without telling us what happened" she said.

"Fine, Banks sent thugs to me, and they ruined my car" she said.

"What! Same Banks?" Morgan gasped, swirling her drink in her cup.

"Of course!" Pearl snapped.

"I can't believe it, were they wearing masks? What's the colour of their masks?" Rebekah asked.

"Black and white?" Pearl replied.

"I knew it! Only The Titans use black and white masks and Rook is the leader, you should have known!" Morgan shouted.

"Are you saying Rook attacked me with Banks name?" Pearl scoffed.

"Obviously, Banks doesn't belong in any frat club so there's no way he'd send thugs" Lizzy said.

There are two frat clubs in the campus actually...

The Titans who are bossed by Rook, then The Vikings.

No one knows who The Vikings leader is, and they always carry out their operations low-key, so they've been concluded to be weaker.

"Banks it too gentle to do such, he's not violent" Morgan said.

"You're defending him real good" Lizzy smiled.

"He's my future husband" Morgan winked, and Lizzy laughed.

"Whatever" Pearl grabbed her second cup and gulped it.

"Let's hit the dance floor!" Rebekah shouted over the music, and the four crossed over.

Morgan started her crazy twerk on Lizzy, and Lizzy acted like the guy by rocking on her.

Pearl is doing the same for Rebekah...

"Damn! This @ss!" Rebekah spanked her, and Pearl chuckled, downing the third cup.

"I'll get us another" Rebekah said and left the floor.

Pearl resumed dancing alone, but then the smell of a male cologne hit her when a guy began dancing behind her.

He touched her hips, and she quickly turned with wide eyes, feeling like throwing up.

"Did you just touch me? Fûcker! How dare you!" She spat at his face, punching him in the nose.

The guy staggered, and Pearl rushed out of the floor.

Her eyes were already turning as she tried to locate a restroom, and her stomach is upside down.

She held the walls till she found one, and she went on her knees in front of the toilet seat, throwing up all the alcohol she had.

Sweat shawled her face as she stood, staggering to the water dispenser.

A male's sudden touch on her skin triggers her, and that's why she avoids it like fire.

Uncle Richard's face appeared in her head, his sweet smile and his favorite words...

"You're so pretty, Pearl" his voice haunted her like a ghost.

She held her head and mewled painfully, pouring water on her face, but it didn't work

She took off her heels and sat on the covered toilet seat, shaking as she buried her wet face in her shoulder.

"Pearl!" Rebekah came in with the rest of the girls.

"I knew it" Morgan said, and Lizzy quickly gathered her heels.

Rebekah pulled Pearl's head to her tummy, hugging it there.

Pearl hugged her back.

"You're fine, baby" Rebekah stroked her hair, and Morgan sighed.

On our anniversary, I was basting the roast when my husband’s encrypted laptop lit up on the kitchen counter. Alex Bradley, the ruthless Underboss of New York, never made mistakes. But tonight, he left a chat room open. The notification shattered my world: "Is the idiot eating the dog food yet?" It was from his mistress, Charlotte. They were betting on whether I would eat the red velvet cake she had spiked with her Rottweiler’s excrement. I realized then that my marriage was a long-con. I was just a "placeholder" wife to secure his promotion to Don. To survive, I had to play the part. Alex sat on the bed, feeding me the tainted cake with a loving smile. "Eat up, Jillian," he purred. "It’s to die for." I swallowed every bite of the filth, forcing myself not to vomit until he left the room. The humiliation didn't stop there. I found out our marriage license was void. He publicly bought me a twenty-million-dollar necklace at a gala, then abandoned me to face the debt, forcing me to hand over my grandmother’s earrings as collateral. He even watched calmly as his family beat me for a prank Charlotte orchestrated. But the final blow came when I overheard him planning our "romantic" getaway. "The blizzard hits Friday," he told Charlotte. "It’ll look like a tragic accident. Hypothermia." He thought he was taking a lamb to the slaughter. He didn’t know I had been counting down the days. I was sitting in the obstetrics clinic, rubbing my four-month bump, when a livestream popped up on my phone. It was my husband, Xander, exchanging vows with my illegitimate half-sister, Rissa. But there they were on the screen, laughing. I called Xander. He answered, thinking he was slick, but he forgot to mute the room. "Two more years of acting like a saint," I heard him sneer to his men. "Fucking her is a chore. But she's worth fifty million in clean assets." My marriage was void. My child was considered a bastard by the Mafia code. When I confronted them later at the gala, Rissa threw herself to the ground, screaming that I attacked her. Xander shoved me. Hard. I hit the table, and as blood trickled down my legs, he didn't even look at me. He scooped Rissa up and stepped over my bleeding body like I was trash. They froze my accounts.
