Chapter 2

"Lisa Pov "

A gay bar? Are you fucking kidding me?"

"Dah, it's the perfect place to pick a gay man,"

Maria said, rolling her eyes.

"Now come on, lift your ass, and let's get inside."

I parked the car, and we walked in.

It was my first time in a gay bar; the place was warm with red lights and LGBTQ flags hanging everywhere, and a crowd of gay couples, trans people, male strippers, and even some women.

We took a seat at the bar and ordered beers.

"So? How's the place?" Maria asked.

" Cool," I said, scanning the room.

"Great, Let's find you the perfect man."

" Cheers, "

"Let the hunt begin."

One hour later, we interviewed what felt like a

a hundred men, and nothing clicked.

Maria groaned.

"Girl, I am exhausted. pick one for fuck's sake; it's just a deal; you're not actually going to marry the guy for real."

"Still! I need to choose wisely; I don't want my family getting suspicious about the whole fake engagement."

We were mid- argument when the most gorgeous, hottest man I had ever seen walked into the bar.

"Maria... look."

Maria gasped. "Wow, what a piece of art. Shame he's not interested in us."

He wore a fitted white shirt, ripped black jeans and white sneakers.

Dirty blonde hair. Blue eyes. Full red lips, and a sculpted, muscular body.

And tall.

Like...six foot- something tall

Oh my god. The first guy I am attracted to.... And he's gay!!

Get a grip, girl.

He walked to the bar, and hugged the bartender, then sat across from him, laughing. Great, boyfriend confirmed

"So, you wanna talk to him?" Maria smirked.

"Okay... let's go."

We approached him.

"Hi. Can I get you a drink?" I said.

"No thanks; I am not interested in having sex with you."

My cheeks burned. "Oh, you got me wrong." I am not flirting."

He arched a brow amused. "Then what do you want?"

"I have an offer for you."

"What kind of offer?"

"I want you to be my fiancé"

He choked on his drink "What?!"

"No, my fake fiancé," I clarified quickly.

"Look, I know you're gay, and the bartender is your boyfriend, so he's the deal. My family is forcing me to marry a man I despise, so I lied and to them I'm pregnant with my fiancé. To get out of trouble, Maria suggested that I hire one of her male friends to be my fake fiancé, but I didn't want to mess with a straight guy. So she said I should hire a gay man."

I exhaled

"I will offer you one million dollars to act as my fiancé for a year. Just until my family backs off."

For a moment, he said nothing, just stared. Then finally:

"Okay. We have a deal."

"I am Liza, by the way." I said, relieved.

"James."

"Here's my business card. Can I get your number?

He took my phone, entered his number and called himself.

"I will call you tomorrow, so we will discuss the agreement."

We shook hands, his grip was warm and strong and my heart jumped.

I looked at his face; then his lips... and imagined how it would feel if we shared a kiss.

Oh my god, stop drooling over the gay man.

I cleared my throat. "I had better get going. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, sweet girl."

I found Maria dancing with some guy.

"Maria, let's go,."

"Bye, Marcooo!" she said, waving like a drunk Disney character. "It's nice hanging out with a man who doesn't try to get in your pants."

"So? How did it go with the Hulk?" She asked once we reached the car.

"He said yes."

"Yay! Good for you!"

"I will call my lawyer in the morning to prepare the contract."

"Let's go home; I am tired."

"Okay, bestie."

I dropped her off, then went home.

Shower. Skin care.Pajamas.

But when I lay in bed, all I saw was James's face.

God, he's so hot!!

I need to stop thinking about him like that. He's gay, for fuck's sake.

"James Pov "

I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my temples

Today was hell. Absolute hell.

I changed out of my business suit, I drove my Austin Martin to my brother's bar, his pride and joy, and walked straight to him.

Jason grinned and hugged me.

"Hey, brother. Rough day?"

"Like shit. That old man is refusing to sign the contract. gave me a fucking migraine. Pour me the strongest thing you have."

"Take it easy, buddy, That's why I left the business world and followed my heart." He said laughing.

I rolled my eyes and shot him the middle finger.

I was scrolling through my phone when I heard a soft angelic voice.

"Excuse me."

I looked up and saw quite literally the most beautiful woman I have ever encountered.

Long golden hair. Big green eyes, and full pink lips.

A strapless black dress, hugging evert curves perfectly.

One look at her and all I wanted was to kiss senseless.

"Hi," she said. "can I grab you a drink?"

"No thanks. I am not interested in having sex with you."

Big fat lie.

If she only knew what is going through my mind.

"Oh, you got me wrong, I'm not flirting," She said.

Ouch. My ego.

"Then what else do you want?" I asked, amused.

I have an offer for you."

"What kind of offer?"

"I want you to be my fiancé."

I almost spit my drink, "What?!"

Then she explained everything, her family forcing her to marry some asshole, her lie about being pregnant, her friend suggesting she hire a gay man.

And then she said it

"One million dollars to pretend for one year."

The fuck!!!

This girl thinks I was gay. And uninterested.

If she only knew the thoughts I had the second I laid eyes on her. that all I wanted right now was to grab her sexy ass and fuck her senseless on the counter.

Should I tell her?

Should I walk away?

Or...should I play along?

A man needs entertainment.

And holy hell, she was a walking fantasy.

Lol, she offered me money. Adorable. She has no clue who she's talking to.

This would be fun.

"Okay. We have a deal," I said.

She smiled, so sweet, so innocent.

"I am Lisa, by the way."

"I am James."

She handed me her phone. I entered my number and called myself.

"I will call tomorrow, so we can talk about the agreement."

God, she's so innocent; she had no idea what she's getting herself into. She just handed herself over to the devil on a silver platter.

We shook hands, her small soft hand in mine.

"I had better get going.Goodnight."

"Goodnight, sweet girl."

Jason smacked the back of my head. "You asshole. Deceiving that poor girl.

"I am a gentleman, I'm helping her," I said innocently.

He snorted. "Douchebag."

"I will get that sexy body in my bed," I muttered.

"I hope you won't regret this," he warned.

"Don't crawl back to me crying later."

I laughed.

"Definitely not gonna happen, bro."
