He leaned closer to her ear. "So are adults."

Her cheeks warmed.

"What's that?"

"Trust."

He held her gaze a little longer than necessary.

"I know."

"But you're doing it anyway."

She nodded faintly.

"For you."

His expression changed - subtle but deep.

He didn't tease her.

He just reached under the table and intertwined their fingers quietly.

She didn't let go.

Aria sat on the balcony wrapped in a blanket, city lights stretching endlessly below.

"You're thinking," he observed.
