Chapter 5

Episode 5 - The Jealous CFO

Adrian's POV

I couldn't tear my eyes away from the glass-walled conference room across the hall.

Camila sat there, legs crossed under that damn pencil skirt, her blouse unbottoned just enough to hint at the curve of her breasts.

The investor...some slick bastard named Victor Langford leaned in too close, his hand gesturing animatedly as he flashed a stupid smile meant to charm Camila.

She gave a low throaty laugh at something he said, the sound twisting like a knife in my gut. Sharp and painful.

What the hell was this?

Flirting? Over our merger?

I had stormed into the executive floor after a pointless call with suppliers, only to catch this scene.

The boardroom was empty now, the team had scattered for lunch, but here she was, playing nice with this outsider.

Langford's eyes dipped to her neckline, and I gripped the doorframe until my knuckles whitened. But wait...

Jealousy? Me?

Over Camila Reyes, the thorn in my side who fucked like a demon but fought like one too?

Bullshit.

But my blood boiled and my vision narrowed as he touched her arm lightly to point and show her a document.

She nodded, her dark hair catching the light, and I turned away before I did something stupid like barge in and deck the guy. I paced my office furiously, slamming drawers whilst cursing under my breath.

I ran a hand through my hair.

Why did I even care?

She'd bent over my desk yesterday, taken my cock like she needed it to breathe, and now this?

Pretending we were nothing while cozying up to investors. A possessive rage I had no right to feel gnawed at me because she wasn't mine. Never would be. But the thought of his hands on her...

I kicked the hard mahogany, crashed into my chair with a deep heave and ran both hands over my face.

I was not going to look in their direction and neither would I think about Camila Reyes anymore. But in order to do that, I needed to drown myself in work.

________

By late afternoon, the merger files piled up, and that demanded a late-night session.

The office emptied out and lights dimmed floor by floor. I knew I needed to work solo but I couldn't since Camila and I were supposed to co-lead so I picked up my phone and sent her a quick text.

ME: 'Conference Room. Now.

Strategy review'.

There was no response, but ten minutes later, I heard heels clicking down the hallway then she walked in with her laptop underarm and that same skirt hugging her ass.

I rose and walked to the door, putting the lock in place and causing it to echo.

"Langford seemed cozy", I said in a low, edged voice, going to lean against the table as she set down her laptop and turned it on. "What was that about? Sucking up for extra funding?".

Camila glanced up, eyes narrowing but a smirk tugged at her lips. "Jealous, Hale? He has insights on the Asian market. Unlike someone, he doesn't bulldoze".

I pushed off the table and closed the distance, my hands itching to grab her. "Insights? Or just an excuse to eye-fuck you? I saw the way he looked at you".

She straightened, then lifted her chin defiantly. "And? It's business. You don't own me or this deal. If you're pissed, take it out on the spreadsheets...". She gestured to the pile of documents on the table, "...not me" she pointed herself.

That did it for me. Fury surged and it mixed with the need that always simmered between us. I cared. Fuck, I hated that I did a d it fueled the fire.

"Business? Like spreading your legs in the limo? In my office? Don't play innocent".

Her breath caught and cheeks flushed, but she didn't back down. Instead, she stepped into my space, causing her perfume that was spicy and intoxicating to hit me like a drug.

"You think you're the only one who gets what they want? Langford's charming. Polite. Not a raging asshole like you".

I snapped.

My hands shot out, fisting her blouse and yanking her against me. Our mouths collided in a brutal kiss that was all anger and teeth. My tongue forced past her lips to claim her but she fought for a second, nails digging into my arms, then she melted, biting back hard enough to sting.

I tasted blood but wasn't sure if it was mine or hers. It didn't matter though because it only made me harder as my cock throbbed against her thigh.

"You drive me insane", I growled, breaking away to spin her and shove her forward onto the conference table.

Papers flew, and her laptop skidded aside. Camila braced on her hands, arching back her ass instinctively as I hiked her skirt up, exposing lace panties.

"Fuck you, Adrian", she hissed, but her voice cracked with want as she ground her hips back. "This is hate, nothing more".

"Damn right". I said, ripping the panties down her thighs and causing the fabric to tear slightly. The panties were already soaked.

I unbuckled my belt and freed my cock from my pants, stroking the thick length once before pressing the head to her slick folds.

Her pussy lips parted eagerly, already glistening with wetness. I thrust in hard with no warning, burying myself to the hilt in one brutal stroke.

Camila cried out and her walls instantly clenched around me. I gripped her hips enough for my fingers to bruise her and pounded into her with furious snaps, the table rattling under us.

Each drive was punishment for her flirting, for making me jealous, and for existing as this infuriating woman who owned my thoughts.

"This what you want? Instead of that prick's charm?".

"Yes", she moaned, "-harder, you jealous bastard", She demanded, pushing back to meet my thrusts as her ass cheeks kept slapping against my pelvis.

I reached around, shoving her blouse open to palm her breasts and pinch the hard nipple until she whimpered. I bent, fondling her breasts as I looked at how I disappeared into her.

Her juices were coating my shaft, dripping down my balls as I fucked her relentlessly, the wet sounds filling the room.

I yanked her head back by her hair to expose her throat. I gently nibbled onto the mark I had given her before, knowing fully well that it would bruise by morning. She moaned, loud and unrestrained and her body trembled as I angled deeper to hit the spot inside her that made her gasp.

"I'm cumming". She muttered through moans.

"Come for me, Camila. Show me you're mine in this".

"Never yours", she panted, but her orgasm hit as soon as she made that denial. Her pussy spasmed wildly, milking my cock with rhythmic squeezes.

I didn't stop slamming through her climax as my own was building fast.

With a guttural roar, I pulled out, and flipped her onto her back. I lifted her unto the table and her legs wrapped around me instinctively, then I plunged back in, chasing release.

I thrusted erratically, balls tightening. "Fuck, take it all". Then hot cum erupted, flooding her pussy in thick spurts. It overflowed as I ground deep as though to mark her inside.

We both stilled, panting. It wasn't until then I paid attention to how the conference room reeked of sex and sweat.

Reality crashed in as the jealousy sated, but the anger lingered. I pulled out, watching my seed leak from her swollen lips, and grabbed a few pieces of tissue from the tissue dispenser and cleaned up before tucking myself away.

I grabbed a few and handed them to her. Camila sat up, Cleaned herself and adjusted her clothes with shaky hands, avoiding my eyes.

"This does not mean anything", I muttered, turning away from her, furious at the vulnerability that twisted in my chest.

Why did I care?

Why her?

"Good", she snapped, smoothing her hair. "Stick to the merger, Hale. Leave the investors to me".

"You can go, I'll finish up here".

She grabbed her things and left, the door clicking shut behind her. I sank into a chair, staring at the mess as the jealousy ebbed into something darker...

Obsession.

I was never supposed to step into his world. I was just a daughter trying to survive the wreckage of a father's mistakes. A quiet girl living a small, careful life-until one night shattered everything I thought I knew about fear, power, and possession. They say the mafia doesn't forgive. They say debts are paid in blood. They never warned me that sometimes, the price is a woman. Luciano De Luca. The name alone makes men lower their voices and avert their eyes. A king without a crown. A devil in a tailored suit. He rules the underworld with calculated brutality, commanding loyalty through fear and obedience through bloodshed. To him, mercy is a weakness-and love is a lie told by foolish men before they die. Luciano is not a man you reason with. He is power, violence, and control wrapped in a deadly calm. A mafia king who destroys without mercy and takes without permission. When my father fails to pay his debt, Luciano takes me instead. I become his collateral. His punishment. His possession. Trapped in his world of blood and secrets, I am nothing more than a reminder of betrayal-kept under his watch, bound by his rules, and stripped of every illusion of freedom. Luciano made it clear from the start: I am not his guest. I am not his lover. I am not free. I am his possession. He watches me like a predator studying prey-cold, assessing, waiting for me to break. He expects fear to reduce me to nothing. He expects me to beg. To submit. But I don't. And that defiance ignites something far more dangerous than hatred in him. But somewhere between the locked doors and the whispered threats, I realize something dangerous: the man who owns me is far more broken than he wants the world to know. Luciano De Luca is ruthless-but he is not heartless. He is controlling-but barely. And every time I challenge him, every time I look him in the eyes without flinching, something dark and volatile stirs beneath his calm exterior. Luciano doesn't love. He claims. He controls. He owns. Yet the more he tries to crush my spirit, the more obsessed he becomes. His protection turns violent. His control turns suffocating. His eyes follow me like a promise and a threat all at once. He says I am his weakness. His mistake. His curse. Yet when enemies circle too close, it is Luciano who shields me with his body. When danger threatens, it is his voice that growls warnings, his hands that tighten possessively, his presence that promises violence to anyone who dares touch what is his. Because once a mafia king decides you belong to him... escape is no longer an option. I am trapped in a golden cage built from power, luxury, and danger-but the greatest threat isn't the guns, the blood, or the men who would kill for him. It's the way Luciano looks at me when he thinks I'm not watching. The way his control fractures when I'm hurt. The way his name feels dangerous on my lips. Because loving a mafia king is not a fairy tale. It's a war. A war between survival and desire. Between freedom and obsession. Between the girl I used to be and the woman his darkness is shaping me into. The deeper I fall into his world, the more I uncover secrets buried beneath his cruelty-betrayals that made him this way, scars that never healed, enemies that would destroy us both if given the chance. And as the line between captor and protector blurs, I'm forced to face a devastating truth: The man who owns my body may soon own my heart. But loving Luciano De Luca comes at a cost. Because in his world, love is a liability. And the moment he chooses me... is the moment he paints a target on my back. Will I escape the man who claims to own me? Or will I surrender to the darkness that refuses to let me go? In a world ruled by blood, power, and betrayal, one innocent woman will discover that the most dangerous thing of all... is being loved by a ruthless mafia king.
