Chapter 2

In a moment after a whole drama she had been displaying, Melissa grumbled as she made her way off to the bed.

She didn't understand the type of drizzly dreams she had just had, also she felt to understand how she made it home. Ordinarily, when she ventured into drowning herself in alcohol, she passed out in the bar and woke up early the next morning in the same spot.

She rubbed her eyes, wondering why she was still wet. She cracked her eyes open and found herself in an unknown room. Her eyes flew open, and her heart contested.

Recollections of the night before crashed into her head.

She had been drunk as hell and an unknown person stole her drink and cleared her bill, but because she was mad she pursued him and

She was taken back to the alley, where he laughed and hovered over her.

"In all honesty, I didn't expect you to take the lure," He muffled, his voice thrilling her anxieties.

He snuffled her neck and was able to let out a deep groan.

Melissa swallowed the moan that threatened to erupt from her.

"You know, when ladies come after me they come to seduce and thank me for clearing their tabs. But you, you're a different grade," He whispered.

A quiver snaked down Melissa's spine. Her head was swaying in mud and her body was flooded by his arousal. She could tell that he was a powerful wolf because his supremacy made her wolf vibrate in respect. What

Melissa did not understand why her body was responsive to his voice. He hadn't even touched her...

On the last count, she was sure she hated sex, particularly after being abused by Lloyd. She couldn't recall the last time she was turned on, and yet here her body reacted to a total foreigner. Something about him influenced her. It excited her and scared her at the same time.

His hands gripped her waist and he planted a hard kiss on her neck, grazing it softly. That single act sent waves of pleasure through her. She didn't know how, but her hands moved down... Suddenly, he let out an aggressive growl and took her mouth.

"Dear, we can't do this here, I must say." He said in a tense voice.

His kiss was as serious as it was inspiring. Puffing he broke the kiss, threw her over his shoulder, and marched away. He took her to an unknown room, threw her on the bed, and shielded her...

Melissa was still surprised by what she had passed through the night before. She was overcome by her need for him again. Nobody had made her feel that way, endlessly.

"I discern, I do have a habit of leaving that effect on people," A voice sniggered. She instantly reverted to her reality. Her heart pounded in her chest and her head snapped in his direction.

She was utterly amazed at the sight of him. Her mystery man was leaning on the wall with an easy smirk etched on his lips. His wipe of dirty blonde hair fell over his gloomy, light blue eyes that bore holes into her body. His ripped muscles were covered in more tattoos than she had seen on anyone's body in her entire life.

She blinked, he was dazzling. Gratefulness to him whelmed through her.

"I-" She started to say.

"I beg to ask, what exactly are you still doing here?"

He roared abruptly, inclined off the wall. Anger blazed in his eyes. Melissa's eyes went around and her mouth molded.

"I went out for my early morning exercise to allow you to clean yourself and find your way out. How come you are still here and what did you think this is?" He yelled, stepping forward.

Shortly, Melissa jumped to her feet. Her heart and her peaceful state crashed into a bazillion pieces. I was too used to it. She had frequently experienced that. Tears blurred her vision.

"It was a one-night stand dammit! Why are you still here?" he asked; his dominance projected the anger in his voice, and it sliced through her like a sword.

Alpha Wolf! Her senses warned her.

Her body trembled as she struggled to put on her clothes. The amount of embarrassment and stupidity she felt endangered to swallow her up. The enigmatic man sneered at her, his voice saturated with frustration and revulsion as she scrambled about the room.

"Get out of this place!" He stated with vagueness on his face, gripping her unevenly and throwing her out of the room. The rest of her stuff followed suit and he smashed the door in her face.

The tears began falling out. It was the same way Lloyd had treated her after their first night together. She crouched on the floor outside his door sobbing.

This was the same way she had been used by her mate.

Goodness, she was so stupid. It was why she found herself with people who exposed her stupidity. Lloyd was right, she cried. She was useless. She was just a toy for male wolves and nothing more. Why else would someone she had just met treat her the same way Lloyd did?

She didn't want to live like that anymore. She wanted to leave Lloyd and be happy forever. If only she could pay off her family's debt and go away in peace.

Afterward, she decided to dry off her tears and put on the rest of her clothes. Then, slowly she stood up and shuffled out of the motel.

"Where are you coming from and where have you been?" Lloyd growled the moment she stepped into Blossom's pack house. Melissa's shoulders were huddled and her eyes were fixed on the floor. Lloyd gripped her by her blouse and snuffled her.

"How come that I smell another male on you? Don't you know that you're mine?" He roared, spanking her. Letting go of her blouse, he jerked her hair.

"Answer me now!" He shouted, angrily.

"The bar," Melissa grumbled; Lloyd murmured and sounded like her again, and this time, he was tougher.

Melissa wept out, and discomfort detonated in her head. No matter how many times she had been hit by Lloyd, it still hurt like hell every time.

"I beg your pardon, what would you say the people's Luna was doing in a bar again? You fool! What did I tell you about visiting the bar?" Lloyd murmured, dragging her until they were in the kitchen.

"No-no, no n-o," Melissa grumbled, "I can explain. I was drunk and unfortunately passed out."

With a malicious grin, Lloyd picked up the gray whip he modified for her. Melissa shuddered copiously. Wounds meted out on her by the gray whip hurt a thousand times more. Anytime she was whipped with it, it was as if she had been set in flames.

"Can you just emerge? What did I tell you about the bar?"

"Take me by my words today, I promise; I'll never do it again!" Melissa shouted and struggled in his clasp. "I promise. Please!"

As that wasn't enough, Lloyd pressed her to the floor and began kicking her. His eyes were ignited with pleasure. Then raising the lash, he flogged her immeasurably.

Melissa let out a penetrating yell. The smell of fiery flesh combined with her blood scented the air. The whip tore her flesh open and her blood poured out. The hurt went through her like a weapon had made her lose her vision. She sputtered blood and gasped for air.

"Idiot, I cautioned you not to provoke me. Until you have cleared your debt you will do as I tell you."

Wham! Another lash followed.

Melissa shouted as a penetrating pain shot through her body like lightning. She sucked in a sharp breath, clenched her teeth, and tried to focus on something other than the hurt. He was about to carry out another lash when the pack Beta rushed in gasping.

"Lloyd! Alpha Lloyd! The Alpha of Shadow Moon Pack is here!" he said.

Lloyd held still, which gave Melissa slight time to recuperate. She crawled as far from Lloyd as possible. Her blood was smeared all over the place. With each movement, her bones threatened to snap.

"Are you for real?" Lloyd quaffed, cautiously dropping the lash.

The great Alpha of Shadow Moon happened to be the most callous being known to the werewolf kind. Not only was he extremely dominant. His wolf was like a beast. Recently he had returned from war with a pack that had dared to defy him; he crushed everyone in that particular pack.

"There are indications that he arrived at Blossom last night and kept a low profile. The pack warriors told me that he and his people are headed to see you," his beta informed him.

Melissa could not be more appreciative of such a disruption. She blessed the Alpha of Shadow Moon for saving her and dropping her penance. Regardless of the discomfort stunning her body, she could feel the fear radiating out from Lloyd and his Beta. It ended with her having some level of comfort.

"Wonderful," Lloyd roared, "Ask the Omega to go and prepare a very powerful ceremonial meal to make merry his arrival and his recent triumph. We'll sign a treaty to prove that we are not antagonistic with him and his pack. No one, I mean, no one should infuriate him or his crew.

Let's just hope we pacify him with the celebration and treaty and that he passes by without terminating the entire people that live in our pack."

"Sure, my wonderful Alpha," His beta bobbed, "In that case, you also need to go and welcome him. He is moving to the Packhouse."

Lloyd roared in thwarting, "Do well and get this fool out of this vicinity and clean up the entire disarray."

"Certainly, Alpha." His beta bowed his head as Lloyd stayed out of the room. Melissa sighed, glad that Lloyd would be much diverted until the Mighty Alpha decided to go back. Maybe, just maybe if he was distracted enough, she could finally think of a way to pay her debts and then run away into her liberty
