The Hockey Alpha's Therapist Novel Cover

The Hockey Alpha's Therapist

"Is $10,000 for one night's pay not enough? Just tell me and I'll raise it, whatever you want it to be. But you must be prepared to provide 'service' whenever and wherever I want it. Do you get it?" In an era where humans and werewolves coexist, Quinn becomes the fated mate of an Alpha and a very famous ice hockey player, Grayson. For Quinn, who is a massage therapist with a lot of debt, Grayson may keep booking her to do 'service' because he knows she needs the money to pay off her debts and to pay for her younger brother's treatment at the hospital. But for Grayson, who finally found his fated mate, Quinn is not just a therapist who fulfills his superstition, but also someone who is precious to him and needs to be protected before she's taken by another Alpha who also wants her. *** Disclaimer: all characters, terminology, locations, and so on are purely the author's imagination. Chapter 5

**Grayson's POV**

When I woke up, I saw Quinn still sleeping next to me with the blanket wrapped around her entire body like a cocoon.

I didn't want to wake her up because she had worked hard last night, making me cum five times during our several rounds of hot sex.

Honestly, I was very satisfied, I really wanted to do it again.

I almost lost control last night when we first started. If Quinn hadn't told me it was her first time, I might have been rough with her. Luckily, Quinn told me. That way, I could be gentler with her. Until her cries turned into moans of pleasure.

I feel honored to be the first for her. Even though she'll never know it.

I brushed the hair away from her face, kissed her lips briefly, before finally getting up from the bed to shower and prepare for today's game.

But in the bathroom, as I let the water run over my body, I remembered the moment when I carried Quinn's wet body, and laid her on the bed, soaking the sheets.

I thought that after sleeping with her, I would feel better, but in reality, I was going crazy because I wanted her again and again.

Quinn is like an addictive drug. She's like the soothing scent of mint that I love so much. Quinn is the definition of a long-awaited reward that has finally been fulfilled.

I also plan to ask her to come back whenever she needs money. I don't mean for her to sell her body, but just as an excuse for her to come to me. Because besides that, I don't know what else could make her come back to me.

***

"Eat something before you go." I stopped at the bedroom door.

After taking a shower, I quickly made a simple breakfast that was both fast and tasty. I really hope Quinn enjoys it.

But when I returned to my room, I could no longer smell Quinn. The spot where Quinn had been sleeping also seemed empty than before. And sure enough, when I opened the blanket, there was only a pile of pillows, Quinn was no longer there.

Damn! I hadn't even had the chance to tell her to come back. I hadn't even had the chance to say thank you or a single word since she fell asleep during the last round when I hadn't finished yet.

But I can't blame Quinn either. I only paid her for last night, and it's already morning. So she was just doing her job, leaving once she'd fulfilled her duty.

I just need to contact her later. She'll definitely be happy to come back.

"Crazy! That was absolutely incredible! You were like a flash, whoss, so fast, scoring so many points and becoming the top scorer. The Frost Maple team won because of all the points you contributed, Grayson."

I just smiled slightly in response to the praise from my teammates, coach, general manager, even the media and the opposing team.

"Thanks to everyone's effort, not just me," I said without trying to boast.

"What made you play like that besides being a werewolf?" asked one of the journalists.

This time I widened my smile, for the first time in front of the media. "I was just trying something new. And I liked it."

Then I hurried to the bus to return to the home base with my teammates, leaving behind the commotion caused by my answer.

The first game of the regular season went perfectly, and it was all thanks to Quinn.

Because of Quinn, today I was able to give my best performance of my career.

Maybe it's because she's my fated mate, or maybe it's because my mood finally improved, allowing me to perform at my best.

The point is, I know none of this would have happened without Quinn.

Among all the women I've ever hired, none can compare to Quinn. Not even one is worthy of being compared to her.

"Good job everyone. Good job, Grayson," said the general manager, who then sat beside me.

I immediately turned to him and looked at him intently. "I think I want to use  Quinn's services again as my therapist. I want her to be my permanent therapist."

The general manager widened his eyes. "Really? That's rare. You usually complain about their service and never call them again. But now you're asking for her personally. What's going on?"

I shrugged my shoulders and turned back to face forward. "I'm satisfied with her work. She's also not as talkative or complicated as the others. At least she doesn't treat me like a celebrity."

"Ah, I see. I'll contact her again and send the contract soon."

I'm sure Quinn will accept this job. That way, she won't have to work part-time at multiple places anymore.

***

Damn! It's been a week, but I haven't seen Quinn at S-T Arena again. She hasn't answered any of my hundreds of calls per day.

I was so sure she would accept the offer, especially since I also raised her salary compared to previous therapists.

Or maybe it wasn't enough? Or maybe the general manager's message didn't reach her? I had to make sure.

I pushed open the door labeled 'management' in front of me. Everyone inside looked surprised but then went back to their work. Meanwhile, I went straight to the general manager in his office.

"Why hasn't Quinn come back here yet?" I asked him straight to the point.

"Goodness, Grayson, you gave me a heart attack."

I didn't want to hear his small talk. So I immediately took his phone to confirm whether Quinn's contract had been sent or not.

"Hey, hey, what's going on? What are you looking for on my phone?"

I threw his phone and pulled my hair in frustration.

It turned out the contract had been sent, and Quinn had replied that she would read it. But this had taken too long, reading a contract like that shouldn't even take a day. There must be another reason why she didn't want to come back.

Is it because I was too harsh with her?

"Oh, you want to know about Quinn. I've tried to contact her as you saw, but it seems she's not interested in coming back. Maybe you upset her at that time."

I, consumed by anger, grabbed the collar of his shirt. "I treated her well."

"Then maybe she's already found another job."

I let go of him slowly. He was right, maybe Quinn had found another job before accepting that contract offer.

Argh, I have to do something to bring Quinn here, to meet me.

"Be patient, maybe she'll respond later."

I can't wait, I want to see Quinn as soon as possible!

"Hey, hey, where are you going? There's still practice after this!"

I ignored his words. I vented my anger by breaking my stick into two pieces. Then I threw it out.

I want Quinn.
