PART ONE: THE MISSION AND THE UNKNOWN

~~~
ANNATORIA
"Fresh humans for our pleasure." Some wicked chuckles mocked the fear in the air. "Could this night get any better?"
I deafened my ears to the rest of that statement as my nose wrinkled at the scent of the approaching rain.
Then, I smirked. Working in the rain is the best. It brightens my focus.
So, as I slacked the confidence in my shoulders, I silently prayed for the rain to arrive. I need it to survive the issues lying ahead.
As planned, I am currently blindfolded in a rickety bus. But the nature of my captors and the main purpose of my mission are the problems.
"Line them up!" The vehicle halted in response to that command, and without delays, the heftiness of the captors tussled the bus.
"Get out! Get out, you fucking cunts!"
Their vile words were as terrible as their rough hands. I confirmed that when one of them pushed me out, as if I had the eyes to see the path ahead.
Honestly, it's not a big deal.
Moving blindfolded is easy, but the other captives are simple women who, unfortunately, fell into the trap of the vicious werewolves who have been hunting humans for many years.
I landed on my feet and allowed the beastly hand that was squeezing my arm to drag me.
Seconds later, I was positioned between two women who were profusely begging for their lives with hot tears.
Sometimes, I wonder how it would feel to be in a position where I cannot tackle my opponent.
I hope I never find out. I love winning. And I want to keep winning.
Suddenly, my blindfold was yanked off. After a few eye twitches, I glanced at the caramel beauty of my hands.
Then, I clasped them behind me, and the view ahead beckoned to me.
The moon, in its far place, could not save this place from its eeriness. And worse, every single element- the thick forest, the rocky ground, the chilly air, the darkened clouds, the wolf beasts and the enormous, forlorn-looking castle in the middle of everything- all worked together to scare an ordinary human or any unsuspecting prey.
Even I felt a little chill run down my spine, and uneasiness knotted my stomach.
Undoubtedly, with the distinct wickedness in the air, this is the werewolf realm.
After a deep swallow, I glanced at the castle again. That is the abode of the Lycan King of the werewolves.... The abode of my target.
"What is this bitch looking at?" One of the hefty wolves interestingly transformed into his human form and landed a hot slap on my cheek. Before my eyes could ignite anger, he hollered, "Keep your fucking dirty eyes glued to the ground!"
I itched to return the hit, but that would not work in my favour, so I lowered my head, exhaled a few times and found calm.
"Here, you are a fucking toy," another resounding voice joined the bullying. "The Lycan owns your soul!" The snarling beast chunked saliva on the back of my neck. "Know your fucking place! Is that clear, you fucking dirty humans?!"
My calmness broke when the nauseating liquid started slipping down my back. I had to curl my hands to contain my thoughts of throwing punches at that fool who spat on me.
Oh. I haven't introduced myself, have I?
I am Secret Agent Annatoria. Twenty-seven years old. One of the top spies in W.O.O.T., a crime-fighting agency.
And right now, I am on a mission to gather intel on the leader of these wolves. I have to figure out a way to eradicate the leader and capture these werewolves who have found pleasure in kidnapping humans as slaves for their master.
"You!" A hand smacked my bum. And the culprit walked to my front with a prideful gait.
Great, now both my face and bum are stinging.
I lifted my head and hid the angry blink in my eyes.
"Come with me," he said, the hatred in his eyes blazing.
I don't have a good feeling about this.
"Uhm..." I blinked with fake shyness. And quietly asked, "Why?"
"Is this dirt asking questions?" His black eyes glinted, his lips tightening as he closed the gap between us and tortured me with the stench from his sweaty armpits.
Ugh! Have they never heard of taking a bath in this place?
"Human." He pressed his forehead to mine, like he was challenging me to a fight. "Are your ears blocked?"
Ugh, stinky ass breath.
"You need to know your place," he continued. "Is that too hard for you? Huh?" With a vicious grip, he jerked my head. "Answer me," he raged, "you fucking spy bitch."
Spy bitch?
I heard that wrong... Right?
"Ha!" He curtly laughed and stepped back. "The spy bitch is surprised."
True.
My eyes could not hide my shock.
With a frown, my mind started to wander, wondering how the beasts found out about my identity. Was my mission compromised from the start?
"Did you think you could walk into our den without getting caught?" he continued to taunt me while my thoughts raced. "This is the problem with you stupid humans. You always think you are too smart. Look at you now. About to be devoured by our master." He sharply gripped my slim jawline. "Our great Lycan will handle you. He will make you watch as he grinds every bone inside you into powder."
How would that even work?
Oh God. Focus Annatoria. Focus. This is not going according to plan. This is not-
The he-wolf's grip left me, and he barked orders to two wolves who effortlessly lifted me off the ground and pulled me towards the mighty reddish brown gate leading to the castle.
I mean, I am glad I don't get to walk on the dangerous stones on the ground, but I have to break free and escape.
However...
Call me insane, but I never abandon any mission. I don't think I want to run away from this one either.
It doesn't matter if I fail.
So, I closed my eyes and allowed the wolves to take me to the Lycan, the main deal of my operation. It
