Chapter 8

I slam the door to the room as I march downstairs my blood boiling.

This was the third shipment that went missing in the space of two weeks. This isn't just an accident anymore, and Julio is a dead man if he doesn't provide an answer for me.

My steps falter when I get to the room beside mine, a spot on the wall is stained slightly.

My nose flares up as my left eye begins twitching.

Who dares leave a stain on my wall, not just any wall on this wall.

Her wall.

I close my eyes to gain any semblance of control because if I snap someone will die.

Placing my phone on my ear I say just three words, “Clean her wall.” ending the call I head straight to my room to change.

The rest of my house is painted white, but beyond my door all that lies is darkness.

Everything in my room is black, my bed, curtains, beside side table, TV and so on.

I stride into my room, getting comfortable in the darkness as I make work of my clothes.

Pushing the door to my walk in closet open, light penetrates into my dark room.

My walk in closet is adorned with mostly white suits, and some random red suits. For days I am extremely angry.

The other side of the wall hangs my home clothing, all of them black in colour so I can blend with my room.

I step to the other side picking up a red suit. I slowly take my time in dressing up as I think of my slip up minutes ago.

I almost kissed her.

Fuck!!!

Shit like that don't happen with me, I don't let my control slip.

What the fuck happened in that room? One minute I was pissed at her for yelling the next I was leaning in to kiss her.

The fuck.

I don't intend to sleep with her even though I feel a little attraction towards her. I have never slept with a woman twice.

I don't have sentiments or emotions that women crave alongside sex.

The only person who got the privilege to have my dick more than once is Scarlet.

She understands I have nothing else to offer, she gets that it's just sex, and nothing more. No after sex hug or cuddles or any of that shit. She just ups, and leaves, she gets it.

And barbie down the hall most definitely doesn't know what a one night stand is or how to endure the ignorance that came along.

She is too innocent, and it fucking infuriates me to no end. How can she live in this world, and still be able to hold a look like that?

If that isn't enough then saving a stranger by a dark alley is certainly enough to show how naive, and stupid she is.

The man who attacked her was the same man she hit that night. Stupid girl had no idea what she was getting herself into.

I am not a Mafia boss if I don't have enemies, and I definitely am not an Antonio if I let a stupid hit man kill me by a dark alley.

I had the situation under control, I was only on the floor because I set a trap for him. One he was about to fall into before she interrupted.

I was conscious when she dragged me all the way to her house, when she pulled off my clothes, took care of my bruises and everything.

I should have stopped her even before she carried me to her house, I could have stopped her as she took care of me.

But I didn't because for once it felt nice to be taken care of.

I regret that because now I have to deal with her stupid barbie ass in my house. I hated having people around, my maids, and guards didn't count.

Finally knotting my tie perfectly, I grab my red watch I bought for over a million. Strapping it on, I step out of the changing room, and slam the door shut.

Darkness engulfs me. I take a deep breath, maneuvering my way around. I walk out of my room down the stairs, and out the door.

“Capo.” Reece steps beside me, handing a steaming coffee to me.

I grab the coffee, and take a huge sip. The hotness burns my tongue, I relish the pain, and sweetness that came with the coffee.

My usual. Black coffee with extra sugar.

“Where to, Capo?” Reece asks, opening the door to my black audi.

I slide in, taking another slip before I tell him the location, “Warehouse.”

He nods, and silently starts driving. Reece Salvador is my right hand man, and also my PA at work, he is also the only guy I can tolerate for a long time.

We grew up together, our parents taught us the ways of the world early on. He is one person I could count on, but I don't fully trust him.

I don't trust anyone.

Trust gets you killed. Godfather always used to ring it in my head, he still does whenever he gets the chance to.

“How is Mia?” he asks, looking at me through the rear view mirror.

I don't answer or show a reaction, but my grip slowly tightens around my coffee as I remember them laughing in her office.

Yes, I have footage of every damn space in my building, even the elevators. That's how much I don't trust anyone.

The sight of her always smiling at men is disgusting. What exactly did they say that makes her lit up that way?

Or the way she was gawking at that guy in the elevator, Jack Tumbler.

His name even sucks, I chug the last of my coffee before lighting up a cigarette.

“We are here boss.” Reece's voice snaps me out of my spiraling thoughts.

I poke the inside of my cheek with my tongue in annoyance. The stupid little barbie occupied my thoughts the entire ride.

Quickly dismissing her, I step out of the car. The stale smell of the warehouse hits my nose.

I stride slowly towards the entrance. On the outside the warehouse looks dead, and abandoned.

Guards are littered around the place holding guns, I walk past them ignoring their greetings.

The inside is bustling with different girls, most of them are naked, I have no business coming here unless I had to. Usually Reece takes care of this stuff, but three missing shipments of my coke in two weeks calls for my attention.

“Capo!” Julio, my coke man greets.

He is in charge of this warehouse, he knows the going and the comings of the warehouse so if my coke is missing he knows.

“Three missing shipments, how?” I head straight to the point.

I hated wasting my time, and words.

He shifts uncomfortably on his foot, he lowers his eyes slightly before darting to look at another of his men briefly.

“Capo, I don't know how it happened, but we are working on finding them.” he stutters, his hands trembling like a leaf.

My nose flared up as I tsked, “The truth this time.” I grumble, irritated that I have to speak so much.

For irritating me, I reach behind, and pull out my gun. Without thinking I fired the gun.

The girls shuffle further away not wanting to incur my wrath, the whole room is silent except the sound of Julio’s cry.

“Ahhhh!!!” he screams out, clutching his left leg as he falls to the ground.

“Capo please!!! I had no choice but to do it. He threatened my family.” he cries out, blood spreading around, staining my floor.

“Who?” I simply ask.

“It was Alex Morett–” the rest of his sentence is silenced by my gun as I blast out his skull.

Pathetic.

I turn swiftly to the other guy he looked at before, “Please Ca–” I let go of the cock, the bullet flies straight into his head.

He falls to the ground staining my fucking floor with his nasty blood.

I turn around murmuring one word as I leave, “Clean.”

I head back to the car thinking of my next move. Alex fucking Moretti is also a Mafia heir struggling to gain more power than me.

I don't involve myself in petty rivals, but he is beginning to get on my nerves lately, first he sent the hit man that cornered me by that alley now my shipments.

He is going to get what is coming to him. If there is one thing I am known for is revenge.

I take a deep drag of my cigarette as my phone starts blaring.

I pull out my phone to see the house number shining across my phone, lazily I drag the phone to my ear as the voice starts speaking.

My entire being stiffens, “SHE WHAT!!!” I boom.

When I confronted him, expecting an apology, Craig didn't just dismiss me. He slapped me across the face in front of the city's elite, the sound echoing like a gunshot. He yanked the wedding ring off my finger, drawing blood, and placed it into Chanel’s palm, calling me a hysterical, barren relic. Later, I found the forged documents. He had signed my name to transfer every asset we built together into his sole possession, leaving me with nothing but a hush-money check. He thought I was just a scorned wife.
